Pioneer School District has been a leader in several areas that include a nationally recognized Agri-Business curriculum, a commitment to providing current educational technology to support state standards, Distance Learning in every school, and unique grant funded programs; including Even Start and Abstinence Only Education. Pioneer Schools were selected for a 21st Century Learning Grant that has provided Community Technology Centers at each school site.

Pioneer Schools provide enrichment opportunities in a comprehensive K-12 Art and Music curriculum as well as regular physical education classes for all students. Intramural and interscholastic athletic programs are offered in a variety of fall, winter and spring sports.

Pioneer Central Schools pride themselves in developing strong ties with parents and community members. PTA and PTSA programs are active in our schools and our innovative Shared Decision-Making committees bring representatives from all stakeholding groups to develop a consensus on important issues.

Pioneer Schools participate in Cattaraugus/Allegany BOCES, providing vocational, hands on training for students wishing to enter a trade or profession directly from high school.

Genesee Community College and Houghton College offer regular core courses in our community at satellite facilities. The State University of New York at Buffalo offers regular postgraduate courses over the Project Connect distance learning facilities of Pioneer Schools.
